MAYOR'S COTY CHRISTMAS BALL
As one of the Mayor of Tower Hamlets' chosen Charities of the Year, Child Concern Consortium was lucky enough to be invited to attend his Christmas Charity Ball at the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf and what a prestigious event it proved to be!
The decor was like a winter wonderland and with a mixture of businesses, local residents, councillors and staff from around Tower Hamlets all dressed especially for the event; it turned into a very glamorous evening.
The Mayor welcomed everyone with a short speech and Sir Martin Jacomb, Chairman of Canary Wharf Group plc (pictured here with the Mayor, the Mayor's wife and Sarah and Jayne from CCC), showed his support by adding a few words of his own. With wonderful food and a live band, we felt very privileged to be a part of it all.
However, the very important business of the night was not forgotten and with a caricaturist capturing unaware diners around the tables, fantastic auction lots going under the hammer and raffle tickets galore, everyone dug deep to support the Mayor on this very special night.
CCC would like to say a very big thank you to both the Mayor’s office and Canary Wharf Group plc for all their hard work on our behalf.
