New Mayor chooses CCC as Charity of the Year
Child Concern Consortium were delighted to be chosen as one of only two charities selected by the recently elected Mayor of Tower Hamlets; Mohammed Abdus Salique as his Charity of the Year.
And we were absolutely thrilled when he joined us for our recent fundraiser held at Cabot Hall in Canary Wharf. We had a fantastically successful day, raising nearly £600 and were so grateful to the Mayor for his enthusiastic support who said:
"I received very many applications from various charities on my new appointment. However, I felt Child Concern Consortium to be a very important one because of all your work with children and their families. You are my charity and I am here to work for you this year".
We would like to thank Mayor Salique for his ongoing support and look forward to working closely with him in the year ahead.
